Jörg Stelkens is a free curator, lecturer, publisher and software designer. Since 1997 he is the owner of the interdisciplinary project lab accSone (aka büro </stelkens>). He is an expert in media, internet and DSP technologies, software development, media art and computer music. He has developed a widely spread contact network between artists and musicians in the field of media-art and sound art. Therefore he is able to present highly interesting contents with corresponding and suitable concepts for medias-art events and sound shows. For years he has gained experiences in sophisticated and 'top-of-the-art' performances by working as a curator.
He worked as a guest lecturer at several institutions (LMU Munich, Musikhochschule Hamburg, Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln, Kunstuniversität Linz, University of Newcastle, England, etc.). He developed the concept of the "KlangForschung, symposium for electronic music". He developed the concept and still has the curatorship for the „t-u-b-e, gallery for radiophonic art installations and audio performances“ on behalf of the City of Munich - Cultural Office. He was employed as an engineer at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich and did project management “media culture” on behalf of the Siemens Arts Program, Munich.
He wrotes an interdisciplinary doctor thesis 2003 at the LMU and TU Munich (phonetics (LMU), musicology (LMU) and man-machine communication (TU): “Internet based Multi User Software Instruments (IMUSIS) for collaborated sound and music making”
Since 2006 he also works as a Principal Software Engineer for User-Interface development and design for the US software company Avid.
