Delay, Length and Birth
The Delay panel defines the offset and the modulation of the delay between the sound input into the buffer and the grain(s) output. Modulation allows "scrolling" through the sound in the buffer. It can be seen as an delay line where the read-head is moving. It is given in msec (1/1000 Second).

Length determines the length of the grain in msec.

Birth determine the time (in msec) the grain-system waits until a new grain is born. If the birth time is less the Length of the grain the grains overlap. The grain-system prevents for decreasing the birth time under 10% of the actual grain length. This prevents to overloading the system. The actual generated numbers of the grains are shown in the Cloud 3D Window.

In the Cloud 3D window the grains are represented by the rectangles in the 3D field. The Delay is shown in the z-axis and the Length and Birth is shown in the x-axis. The y-axis shows the different Generators.
