How to control the crusher with MIDI events in Logic?
Problem: Normal audio tracks in Logic don't receive MIDI events. But the crusher can be loaded into a Software Instrument Track so that it receives MIDI and feeded with audio via the side chain inputs. Here is the solution:

Step 1

Create new project  and create a new Software Instrument Track.

Step 2

Select IO Slot and...

Step 3

...insert a crusher out of the AU MIDI-controlled Effects section.

Step 4

Open crushers editor and select an live input or an other track as a side chain:
